Heritage Toronto reports it has a guided tour in English and Spanish suitable for both citizens and tourists alike.
Creating Toronto: The Story of the City in Seven Stops is available

Aug. 20 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. In seven brief stops at some of the city’s most celebrated sites, this tour will give people a “big picture” overview of Toronto’s history. They’ll be introduced to key moments that have shaped the city, from the trails still evident today which were created by indigenous people 10,000 years ago, to the rise of Toronto’s Financial District, to the story of home-grown scientific breakthroughs.

The cost of the walking tour is $20 p.p.
