Dining With Insight Vacations

Featuring Portuguese fare, wine and hospitality, Insight Vacations hosted the trade to an epicurean dining experience yesterday (March 8) with CEO John Boulding on hand from Geneva.

With culinary and dining experiences becoming increasingly important to travellers, the premium and luxury escorted tour operator highlighted some of the unique meals awaiting guests such as dining in off the beaten path restaurants, enjoying farm to table delights or authentic dinners prepared by local chefs in the destination.

Coming off of a challenging time for the industry, particularly for travel to Europe, Boulding told PressToday sales are currently at an all-time high both across the board globally and within the Canadian market.

“Right now we’re in a real boom period, it’s a real bounce-back,” he said, adding that booking among its latest destinations and programs are also positive. “It’s very strong sales. The business is back.”

Coinciding with International Women’s Day, Cris David, president of Insight Vacations Canada, recognized some of the notable females within the organization including Bea Tollman, president and founder of the boutique Red Carnation Hotel Collection; Lucille Sive, CEO of The Travel Corporation’s Africa division and TreadRight Ambassador Céline Cousteau.
