Discover Iceland, Wales With Kensington

Responding to the interests of its clients, Kensington Tours has created several new, fully customizable itineraries and experiences in Iceland and Wales.

In Iceland, the private-guided tour operator has added four new itineraries that include: Icelandic Summer and the Midnight Sun; Iceland Honeymoon; Iceland Golden Circle Exclusive; and Volcanic Valleys of Iceland – part of Kensington Tours exclusive Explorers Club Collection.

As the name suggests, the Icelandic Summer and the Midnight Sun itinerary features the famous midnight sun which offers up to 24 hours of daylight and provides unique flexibility and extended options to private-guided touring.

Travellers can enjoy a lobster feast while exploring black sand beaches; explore the stunning Thorsmork Valley and be treated to a barbecue dinner cooked by a private guide.

The trip also includes exploration of the Golden Circle late in the day, when all other set-departure tours have left.

For the Honeymoon and Golden Circle Exclusive itineraries, highlights include horseback riding and whale watching in Iceland?s North; snowmobiling on a glacier; a scenic helicopter flight to a mountaintop landing near Reykjavik and the ultimate luxury experience at the Retreat at Blue Lagoon. For Volcanic Valleys, Kensington Tours drew on its long-standing partnership with the Explorers Club to curate an unforgettable experience including a 400-foot descent by elevator into Thrihnukagigur, a dormant volcano; scuba-diving between tectonic plates along the Continental Divide and crossing into the Arctic Circle by plane.

The Explorers Club Collection is an exclusive suite of travel experiences inspired by the expeditions of the world’s foremost society of scientists and adventurers. Each tailor-made trip is led by a local, private-guide and connects travellers to fascinating people, places and activities.

In Wales, Kensington Tours has curated two new itineraries – Wales Highlights and Wales Grand Journey — with highlights including a visit to Tintern Abbey, Chepstow Castle and Raglan Castle; exploration of Snowdonia National Park with a local private-guide; and a classic rail ride on the Vale of Rheidol Steam Railway.

As well, travellers can indulge in food and wine tasting tours at a local vineyard; gain a unique perspective of Brecon Beacons National Park with hikes and whiskey tasting; and stay at a handpicked selection of luxury country houses and manors.
