Disney Dolphin named Vcom conference venue

After a successful international conference onboard Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas in May, Vacation.com has announced that the venue for its 15th International Conference & Trade Show will be the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort in Orlando. Scheduled from June 11-15, the event will feature networking opportunities, educational workshops and entertainment. On the heels of one of its most highly attended conferences ever, more than 250 agents have already registered to attend the 15th International Conference. Based on survey results, Vacation.com reports at least 80% of 2012 attendees said they would attend the 2013 conference. “In 2012, we made history by hosting the largest travel industry event ever held onboard the largest cruise ship in the world,”said Vacation.com vice-president Canada, Christine James. “Bringing Conference back to Orlando will be another huge draw for our agents as Orlando continues to be a top destination for leisure travellers – and one many of our agents excel in selling. With exclusive access to one of the city’s hottest new attractions, more than 150 hours of classes, the opportunity to network with some of the industry’s top travel agents and preferred supplier senior executives, and a spacious trade show, we’re anticipating another huge success in 2013. Our 15th year is a landmark anniversary and we look forward to celebrating it with our members.”The 2013 Conference theme is “Rise and Shine,”encouraging agents to rise up above the competition and shine above all challenges. Early bird registration is now open at a rate of US$79 through Sept. 30. Agents can visit http://www.conference.joinvacation.com to register, view the Conference agenda, and reserve discounted hotel room rates. Hotel space is expected to sell out. One of the highlights during the 2013 Conference will be an offsite excursion to SeaWorld Orlando where agents will experience the park’s new Antarctica-Empire of the Penguin exhibit – set to open in May 2013.
