Dogs Get VIP Treatment at Grand Velas

So your clients don’t want to leave their favourite pooch at home when they go on vacation. Well, the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit has just the solution – the resort’s new Pet Package.

The Grand Velas’ new Pet Package lets your dog feel like royalty sleeping on plush beds, eating gourmet food compliments of the luxury all-inclusive resort. Plus there are a host of activities and surprises designed for Fido’s ultimate relaxation. Owners and their pets can bond playing fetch with a branded play ball on the resort’s powder-white sand beach.

According to the 2013 Pets Survey by TripAdvisor, 53% of respondents with pets regularly travel with their collared companions, with their biggest concern being their pets getting “stressed out” while on holiday.

The Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit has also partnered with Boston-based pet groomers, The Dogfather, to offer a specialized Cosmetic Package including an oatmeal bath, hair brush, ear and teeth cleaning, and nail trimming for an additional US$195, all performed on-site at the resort by their Puerto Vallarta team. Additional options include fresh organic food and bottled water with Bach flowers, as well as the services of a pet sitter who can take the dog for strolls on the beach.

Rates start at US$75 per night, per pet with a maximum weight of 25 pounds.
