Downtown Vegas Casinos draw Canadians with At Par offer

Downtown Las Vegas’ Circa Resort & Casino, the D Las Vegas and Golden Gate Hotel & Casino continue to see a surge in Canadian visitation following the launch of their “At Par” program, which treats the Canadian dollar at parity with the U.S. dollar.

Within three months, the promotion has drawn more than 50,000 Canadian visitors, generated more than 5,100 hotel room bookings and produced over $10 million in slot play.

The program will continue through Aug. 31 and applies to select gaming, hotel, beverage and entertainment offerings, with added appeal this summer through free Fremont Street Experience performances by Canadian artists Tiga (May 15) and Finger Eleven (June 27).

Visitors do not need to be hotel guests to participate in gaming, beverage or entertainment offerings.

Derek Stevens, owner and CEO of Circa, the D and Golden Gate, observed that: “Canadians have always played a meaningful role in downtown Las Vegas, and we’re incredibly appreciative of the loyalty they continue to show our city.”

And Stevens continued: “The response to our At Par program has been tremendous and we look forward to creating more exciting moments for our guests from the Great White North.”

Under the At Par program, eligible Canadian guests receive $1 USD in value for every $1 CAD spent, regardless of daily exchange rates.

Available across these three downtown Las Vegas properties, the effort removes one of the biggest financial barriers to U.S. leisure travel and makes it easier for Canadian visitors to focus on what matters most: entertainment, hospitality and fun.
