Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has picked Filip Boyen as its new CEO and he didn’t waste any time in outlining his vision for SLH’s future.

Recognizing that the definition of luxury was ever-changing in order to meet the evolving needs of the guest, Boyen unveiled a number of new initiatives designed to respond to those needs and to an increasingly competitive marketplace.

The new initiatives include:

  • An integrated quality assurance program for its global collection of independent small luxury hotels. The new program will include a Mystery Inspector Program, which will provide hoteliers with a comprehensive view of guest satisfaction relative to service, experience and hotel quality; while results will provide SLH with the necessary data to evaluate and maintain quality standards.
  • New web sites will be launched to increase brand visibility, draw qualified traffic and enhance the customer experience and loyalty for the SLH family. As well, SLH will introduce a mobile web site designed for smartphone users.
  • The Club of SLH will be enhanced with a focus on building more personalized relationships with its 400,000 members worldwide. After extensive research into what members want from their loyalty program, The Club of SLH will introduce a new membership level to better reward its most loyal members.
  • SLH Directory – As it celebrates its Silver Jubilee, SLH is bringing back its SLH Directory of Hotels for 2016 in response to input from both its guests and its hoteliers.
  • A new look, new feel for SLH will also be part of the company’s Silver Jubilee as it introduces a new corporate identity. Quality, innovation and a commitment to dare to be different and SLH will be moving forward embodying these three qualities with a feeling of movement, history and style.
  • Rewards for travel professionals are also planned by SLH and it will introduce its first loyalty program for them next month to recognize the role they play (and have played) in the company’s success.

SLH has a collection of more than 520 small hotels in over 80 countries around the world and has been operating for 25 years.
