Ensemble Expansion

More than 60 travel industry executives from around the world gathered at the Sydney Opera House on March 30 to toast the official launch of Ensemble Travel Group in Australia and New Zealand.

The event was a chance to publicly roll out the formal member recruitment phase of Ensemble’s global strategy. Ensemble co-president Lindsay Pearlman and Ensemble board member Rob Durant of W.D. World Travel in Vancouver were on hand for the festivities.

“We knew this move was huge for Ensemble, so it was critical that we did not rush our entrée or get ahead of ourselves and our plan,” said Pearlman. “We’ve spent considerable time and resources adapting products and services and ‘testing the waters’ if you will in the marketplace. We’re incredibly excited as we know our business model is what many agency owners and consortia in Australia and New Zealand are looking for.”

Trish Shepherd, senior vice-president and general manager of Ensemble in Australia and New Zealand, points to the exceptional roster of preferred suppliers as a major advantage for members.

“We are thrilled to have the support of so many premium suppliers to launch in this region – airlines, hotels, cruise, tour and land operators from around the world all delivering extraordinary benefits to our members,” said Shepherd.

Ensemble’s plan is to assemble top agency groups and independent owners in Australia and New Zealand that are forward thinkers.

“We are looking for members who are seeking a broader value proposition to achieve a higher level of success in their business,” said Pearlman. “Luxury agents, in particular, find our exclusive offerings and key supplier partnerships to be a good fit. Our members trust us to deliver value to their business overall, as well as their bottom line. They know that our only interest is their success.”
