Enterprise Holdings’ McPhail Set To Retire

Don McPhail, Enterprise Holdings assistant vice-president of strategic accounts for Canada, is retiring after 19 years.

Enterprise Holdings, which owns the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands, is the largest car rental provider in Canada, and throughout the world.

“We want to congratulate Don on his two decades of success with us at Enterprise,” said Steven Tudela, senior vice-president of Canadian operations for Enterprise Holdings. “Don is well known and beloved in the Canadian travel industry. We want to thank him for his outstanding leadership and dedication to the company and his colleagues.”

McPhail joined the National brand in 1999 as director of sales for western Canada. His success in this role led to his promotion in 2004, to vice-president of sales for Canada, based in Toronto. In this new role he led a team responsible for corporate and travel industry partnerships for both National and Alamo.

In 2007, he took on the role of assistant vice-president of strategic accounts for Canada. In this current role he has been instrumental in leading the integration and development efforts for all three of Enterprise Holdings’ brands within its corporate and travel agency businesses.

Throughout his career he has been an active brand ambassador representing Enterprise on a variety of committees and associations, such as the Association of Corporate Travel Executives, Global Business Travel Association and the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies.
