European Waterways Waives Single Supplement Fees

With travel industry surveys reporting on the growing popularity of solo travel, European Waterways is waiving its single supplement fee on a variety of hotel barge cruises throughout France, Holland and Italy.

The promotion is applicable on select departures in the wine-rich regions of France for vessels such as Anjodi, L’Art de Vivre, L’Impressionniste, Renaissance, andLa Belle Epoque. It is also available on Panache in Holland and La Bella Vita in Italy. Single supplement waivers represent a saving of up to $2,450, based on availability, and cannot be combined with other offers. Cruises must be booked by Feb. 19 to qualify.

“The new generation of travellers doesn’t hesitate to ‘go it alone,’” said Derek Banks, managing director of European Waterways. “On a hotel barge cruise, our solo guests will meet like-minded people who share their love of cuisine, history and culture. They do so in a warm and sophisticated environment, with an attentive crew that caters to their every need.”

Banks also noted that onboard activities and daily excursions are specifically designed to include every member of their small groups.

The single supplement waiver applies to a range of cruises, all with their own, unique excursions, culinary specialties, regional wine tastings, and experiential activities.
