Sunwing Airlines has added a SMS (text message) alert function to its online flight reservation system.
Conveniently located on the homepage of Sunwing.ca, travellers can sign up to receive updates on their flight status via text message.
“We know that our customer’s journey to the airport sometimes consists of a long drive or stopover hotel,” said Mark Williams, president, Sunwing Airlines. “We feel that the convenience of flight alerts received right to their mobile device will represent a lot of value to our customers, who can now stay informed throughout their journey.”
Launched in December, the first two months of customer subscriptions show that this development has been a popular addition to the Sunwing e-commerce platform, which also offers customers the ability to print e-documents, book seat selection, purchase upgrades, pre-order duty free products, and perform web check-in.
Sunwing Airlines intends to continue working with experienced technology partners like Tagga to develop products, which improve communication and enhance customer experience.
