Flight Centre Employees Helping Out In Thailand

Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) has teamed up with the Wildlife Friends Foundation of Thailand (WFFT) to improve and enrich the lives of animals at the Project Wildlife Rescue Centre near Bangkok, Thailand.

Sixteen FCTG employees will spend the week of Sept. 8 volunteering at the project as part the company’s Brighter Futures program.

This effort is made possible by EVA Air, which is providing all air travel.

The program is also supported by Discova Tours, Flight Centre Travel Group’s recently launched affiliated global destination management company. Discova will be providing all on-the-ground transportation and excursions while the group is in destination.

The 16 employees are from multiple offices throughout North America and have varied tenure and positions across five different brands within the company – but each share the same vision of a brighter, healthier, happier and safer future for wildlife animals.

Founded in 2001, WFFT is a nationwide effort committed to rescuing wild animals held in captivity that often fall victim to illegal trade practices and exploitation. A non-government organization, WFFT is supported by other animal protection organizations as well as many individuals with a passion for change.

During their week in Thailand, the group of volunteers will work at the rescue centre to help feed animals, prepare food, clean enclosures and assist with maintenance and improvement projects.
