Florida Huddle Headed for Tampa
Visit Tampa Bay, the destination marketing organization for Tampa and Hillsborough County, will host Florida Huddle at the Tampa Convention Center, Jan. 27-29, 2016.
The 2016 Huddle – VISITFLORIDA’s annual international trade show and buyer’s market – will coincide with the opening of Tampa Bay’s Gasparilla Season, three months of festivals, parades and parties tied to the annual invasion of Tampa Bay by the fictional pirate Jose Gaspar.
The Gasparilla Pirate Festival – complete with an invasion by Jose Gaspar and his scurvy horde aboard the Jose Gasparilla pirate ship and the third-largest parade in the US – takes place Jan. 30, the day after Huddle ends. The day-long party will include canon fire, a flotilla of ships and beads, beads and more beads as the parade wends its way down Tampa’s waterfront Bayshore Boulevard.
