Focus On Success

Vacation.com continued its 2016 Canadian Regional gatherings last night (Oct. 6, 2016) with close to 140 agents and 40 suppliers checking into Toronto West at the Sheraton airport hotel.

Educational sessions, council meeting, young professionals event, trade show, networking and dinner were the order the day, which was themed “Focus on Success.”

Naturally there was a buzz about the organization’s merger into the Travel Leaders Network, a move that Travel Leaders president Roger Block told Press Today would provide many benefits to all the merger partners, from educational opportunities to greater market strength, presence and negotiating clout.

Scheduled to officially come into effect on Jan. 1, 2017, Block (shown here with Vacation.com VP Canada Christine James) said Travel Leaders partners are working feverishly behind the scenes on branding, technology and other merger issues, prompting the TL boss to joke that he would have to become Scrooge and “cancel Christmas” if everything didn’t come together on time.

Earlier in the week, Vacation.com was in Markham, Ont., with sessions still to come in Vancouver and Edmonton.
