Fora Travel: Meet the next generation of travel entrepreneurs

An energized group of advisors, partners, collaborators and friends joined officials from Fora Travel at Toronto’s 1 Hotel this week to celebrate not just the home-based travel group’s official launch in Canada, but also “the power of the next generation of travel entrepreneurs.”

Admittedly, these are interesting times for the travel industry, however, Fora Travel’s Co-Founder and CEO, Henley Vazquez is clearly not daunted by that, telling the Toronto gathering: “People are going to continue to travel and we’re the people who are going to help them find the trip that’s right for them.”

With TICO registration under its belt, Fora is now operating in Ontario and has plans to expand across Canada.

Vazquez explained that what makes Fora Travel different from other groups is the technology that it will provide its advisors, coupled with its mission of bringing new people into the industry.

“Those are the two gaps that we aim to fill,” Vazquez stated.

The New York-headquartered agency group was launched in 2021 and since then, its advisors have booked over 1 million room nights.

For Canadian advisors of any level, Fora Travel provides a tech-forward, fully supported, platform that allows them to build their own travel business.

The annual membership fee of $399 provides full access to Fora’s Advisor Portal, including the ability to book over 170,000 bookable hotels, training programs, content and marketing tools, fast and streamlined commission payments, and an online forum that connects thousands of advisors within the global Fora community.

Ontario-based advisors are required to complete the TICO Education Standards Exam ($35.00), and Fora will soon offer a free prep program to streamline the process.

Vazquez observes that: “At its core, Fora was built to fix what’s broken in travel advising — outdated systems, high barriers to entry, and poor advisor support.”

To do that, she continued: “We created a model where technology amplifies human expertise, not replaces it. With our Canadian launch, we’re excited to open the door for more entrepreneurs to thrive in this incredible industry and help grow more small Canadian businesses.”

And as Vazquez sees it: “There’s lots of room to grow its our time to shine.”
