In order to meet the evolving needs of travel agencies and travellers, Amadeus has rolled out its new selling platform – Amadeus Selling Platform Connect – to a number of new markets. As a result, travel agencies in those markets will now be able to access their customers’ bookings from anywhere in the world and from any device with an Internet connection by using Amadeus’ new platform.
Amadeus has been gradually rolling out the new platform and with this announcement it is deploying it to more than 20 markets in Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America and North America and there are more regions coming soon.
Amadeus’ North America market was one of the first to implement Amadeus Selling Platform Connect, launching it in 2012. Today, the platform has a strong presence in the U.S. and Canada with over 1,500 users.
And here’s more good news, Amadeus Selling Platform Connect does not need any software to be installed and can be accessed through a user ID and password to broaden travel agencies’ business opportunities; reduce running costs; and allow updates or new tools to be shared instantaneously with the rest of the network.
Rudy Daniello, director, distribution product management at Amadeus, commented: “We are helping to shape the future of travel by giving our customers a solution which is completely in tune with their work-flows and can be customized to suit their exact business needs.”
Daniello pointed out that: “The online flexibility also opens a whole range of new opportunities to agents in terms of mobility, synchronization across the network, and reduced technical costs. We are excited to see the result as this new solution is migrated across the network.”
Amadeus offers full support to help customers migrate from existing solutions as well as new customers who join the platform.
