G Adventures Wins Flight Centre Award
Flight Centre Canada along with its corporate division, Corporate Traveller, has announced that G Adventures has won the company’s 7th Annual Sustainable travel award established to recognize the industry supplier that has made the greatest effort to minimize their environmental impact.
The award was presented at Flight Centre’s annual black-tie ball held in Toronto on July 4 and in Vancouver on July 5.
A record number of suppliers submitted proposals representing all areas of the travel industry including airlines, resorts, car rental companies and tour operators. G Adventures was chosen because of its demonstrated commitment combined with measurable results via 32 projects in 18 countries and their exceptional leadership in using sustainability as an instrument for social and individual change.
“Thank you to the Flight Centre family. Being recognized for our sustainability efforts is a huge honour and something we never take for granted especially when the recognition is coming from one of our valued agent partners. From the very beginning, we have always been committed to sustainability and creating experiences that benefit both the local communities and agents clients. We believe our partners are agents of change and together we’re able to change the world through travel,” said Bruce Poon Tip, founder, G Adventures.
