The Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board and the Riviera Nayarit Convention & Visitors Bureau will host the 22nd edition of Gala Vallarta from Jan. 27-29.
One of Mexico’s leading tourism industry events, Gala is designed to provide local hotels and DMCs the opportunity to do business with international buyers.
More than 200 local providers will participate in the January event, while almost 130 international buyers representing 60 companies will be travelling to Puerto Vallarta. To date, the three-day event has reported almost 900 pre-established one-on-one business meetings.
Set on Bandera’s Bay, Puerto Vallarta has reported that 2015 will be a record year with an average 70% hotel occupancy and new flights starting from Houston and Denver with Southwest Airlines and Orange County with Alaska Airlines, which has also started its seasonal flights from Los Angeles earlier than expected.
Local offerings has also increased with 10 properties opening up in the past 18 months, including the Grand Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta All Inclusive, the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta, and the region’s first AAA Five Diamond property, the Hotel Mousai.
