Germany’s First In-Transit Hotel Opens at Frankfurt Airport

Clients connecting via Frankfurt Airport now have the option to take a snooze in between flights.

The newly opened MY CLOUD Hotel, located at Gate Z 25 in Terminal 1, is Germany’s first transit hotel – allowing travellers to access a room for flexible times starting at three hours – without having to leave the security zone.

With 59 rooms – each equipped with a bed, desk, stool and separate bathroom with shower, along with free WiFi, and an infotainment system with a digital date to remind guests when it’s time to board their flight – the space is designed for resting and freshening up.

“This hotel is more than simply another addition to our wide range of offerings,” says Christian Balletshofer, who heads Fraport AG’s Real Estate & Properties department. “It is a genuine innovation that delivers exactly what many of our customers want. The hotel’s rooms are designed to let them relax and enjoy their time at the airport in privacy.”
