Getting Better All The Time

It’s no wonder everyone at Sandals Resorts is smiling these days. 2013 has been a busy year as the luxury-included resort operator expands and enhances its portfolio of properties and a high-profile group from the family-owned, Caribbean hotel company — led by its founder and chairman, Gordon “Butch” Stewart and its CEO, Adam Stewart — was in Toronto this week to let the Canadian travel trade know all about all of the new developments.

Company CEO, Adam Stewart observed: “Whether we are adding new hotels to our portfolio or renovating our existing hotels, it is all done with the intention of providing our guests with more — more options, more luxury and more amenities. With our brand’s continued evolution, we truly feel we’ve advanced the all-inclusive concept and have a firm stake within the luxury market.”

Barbados and Grenada are the headline destinations for Sandals. The resort operator debuted Sandals Barbados on Nov. 6, 2013 and on Dec. 12, 2013, it will open Sandals LaSource Grenada Resort & Spa.

Also in Barbados, building for a new Beaches Resorts is set to begin on the site of the former Almond Beach Resort in St. Peter, Barbados, making this new resort not only the first Beaches resort in the destination, but also the fourth resort added to the Luxury Included brand collection.

Gordon “Butch” Stewart, chairman of Beaches Resorts, commented: “We are always looking to improve our guests’ experience, and strive to offer one-of-a-kind activities and attractions that will leave both our new and returning guests wanting to come back for more.”

And he continued: “Beaches Resorts has earned a reputation as a leader of family fun in the Caribbean, and these investments are helping us meet the eager demand of our guests wanting to visit these beautiful and distinct islands with their friends and family.”

So stay tuned, there’s always lots more from Sandals and Beaches Resorts. And check out the Dec. 2, 2013 issue of Canadian Travel Press for a full report on Sandals visit to Toronto.
