As part of the Globus family of brands’ initiatives during its 2014 Year of the Travel Agent, the company has produced a comprehensive 76-page guide for agents full of insider tips and background information.

In the guide, its four brands – Globus, Cosmos, Avalon Waterways and Monograms – are explained in detail. Specialty travel is also featured, comprising Faith-based Vacations, Family Travel and Special Interest Cruises.

“We want to give agents wonderful selling suggestions, key messages, FAQs, demographic breakdowns and cross-selling info,” says Stéphanie Bishop (pictured), the company’s managing director for Canada. “For example, a handy chart spells out the relative stateroom size of Avalon versus its main competitors.”

The brochure also outlines the organization’s various accreditation programs, comprising the Globus Touring Expert, the MBA (Monograms’ Booking Agent) and Avalon Waterways Specialist programs. Each online training program takes only a couple of hours and leads to free and/or reduced rate travel.

A large portion of the brochure is dedicated to the company’s Group Travel division, where best-selling itineraries for groups, real-world marketing plans and timelines, and how to customize your group with the Globus family are all shared.

“We think this Guide and Planner is a great way to help agents to earn more with us,” says Bishop, “And we hope agents will keep it handy all year long.”
