Globus Family Oberammergau Pricing Confirmed
The Globus family of brands in Canada is advising agents that the company’s tours to the Oberammergau Passion Plays for 2020 are now ready for booking.
“In all we have 14 tours which include a performance of the famed passion play. Some tours feature wonderful sightseeing in Germany or in combination with Austria and Switzerland, while others are more of a faith-based nature, such as our Shrines of Alpine Europe and Oberammergau itinerary,” says Kim Clarke, director of sales for the Globus family of brands in Canada.
The company even plans an Avalon Waterways Romantic Rhine sailing which includes the play.
The escorted tours range from seven to 14 days duration and include one itinerary from value-brand Cosmos, with departures offered between May and October, 2020. Every one includes a seat in a premier location at the play.
“We are so engaged in the Oberammergau experience that we have operate an office in the village for the duration of the plays,” added Clarke, who says during the last Play in 2010 the Globus family hosted more than 13,000 clients.
The residents of the quaint Bavarian village of Oberammergau have been performing the Passion Play for almost 400 years – now offered only in years that end in a zero – and it is regarded as the most important passion play in the world, enormously popular with thousands of visitors.
