Globus Launches ‘Client Connect’

The Globus family of brands is wrapping up its “Year of the Travel Agent” with the launch of the “Client Connect” online referral tool, directly connecting potential clients with agents.

“When a consumer visits any of our four brands’ sites and asks to be referred to a travel agency, not only do we suggest an agency within a specific geographic radius, but now we’re recommending actual individual agents of that agency who have been designated as Specialists of the Globus family’s four distinct travel brands,” says Stéphanie Bishop, the company’s Canadian managing director.

Most importantly, she adds, the query will remain confidential between the client and the agent, and Globus will have no access to it.

Here’s how Client Connect works: A consumer clicks on the Find Travel Agent button on the Globus, Cosmos, Monograms or Avalon Waterways web sites; the consumer selects and enters a postal code, then selects a radius of one, five, 10 or 25 miles. Travel agencies with agents who have completed a specialist program – Avalon Waterways Specialist, Monograms Booking Agent or the Globus or Cosmos Tour Expert programs – will be sorted to the top of the list with a specialist logo adjacent to their agency and a new button to “View Specialists.”; Consumers can click the button to view all the specialists at the agency; Those agencies that not only have the specialist logo alongside their agency name and address, but have also met a pre-set minimum sales threshold for each brand will also enjoy the new “Click to Connect” button next to their listing. When consumers click this button, they will be presented with a short inquiry form and an e-mail will be sent to the agency to follow-up.

“For agents who have graduated from our online courses, this is a special thank you and a way of strengthening our partnership,” says Bishop. “Client Connect will direct consumers into the right hands of professional partners who we know have a strong knowledge of our products. The Globus family of brands is offering another valuable reason for agencies to encourage their travel consultants to become Avalon Specialists, Globus Travel Experts or Monograms Booking Agents.”
