GLP Introduces Innovative New Yoga and Fitness Tours

GLP Worldwide has introduced two new innovative wellness programs, Thailand Yoga Wellness Retreat and FUNctional Fitness Retreat in Costa Rica for 2020.

“We are thrilled to introduce these two wellness focused programs for travellers as there is a real void in the marketplace in offering authentic, curated wellness programs,” said Alan Law, GLP Worldwide director of sales and marketing. “GLP is known for its commitment to provide travellers with experiences reflecting local culture, nature, cuisine and now wellness.”

Global Wellness Institute reports more than 830 million wellness trips in 2017 with forecasted growth to top all other tourism segments. The growth has been driven by an expanding global middle class, growing consumer desire to adopt a wellness lifestyle, rising interest in experiential travel, and increasing affordability of flights and travel options.

GLP will be offering two distinct wellness programs: Thailand Yoga Wellness Retreat, May 5-13, from $2,790 per person; FUNctional Fitness Retreat, Costa Rica, April 14-19, from $1,999 per person.

These programs will take guests on a specially designed wellness journey, but also include activities embracing the local culture, cuisine and stunning scenery of the destination.

For the Thailand retreat, visits to sacred temples, the Grand Palace, learning how to cook Thai dishes, long boat rides in Bangkok’s canals and a visit to an elephant camp will all be included along with the extensive yoga program at Absolute Sanctuary on the island of Ko Samui.

In Costa Rica, a leading eco-tourism destination, participants will enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including hiking the Las Catalinas Trails, cruising on a catamaran, snorkelling, beach tour, zip lining, horseback riding and relaxing in hot springs. They will stay at beautiful Bahia del Sol Beach Front Boutique Hotel in Guanacaste.

Price for the above two programs excludes international airfare, any applicable visa expenses, porterage at hotels, meals not mentioned in itinerary, gratuities, optional travel insurance or expenses of a personal nature.
