Go Back to School with Jamaica, Pinch Social

Are you ready to go back to school?

Well, in a special edition of its Irie Hour tomorrow (Aug. 24), the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) has invited some special guests from Pinch Social to host a professional-development session designed specifically for Canadian travel specialists.

With many retail advisors working in the digital space for the first time now, this custom social media marketing workshop will show agents how to use and optimize various social media platforms for their business to enhance their online presence, reach new clients, and achieve success in the new consumer travel environment.

The special skill-building edition of Irie Hour is another great example of how Jamaica’s Canadian BDM team has been helping to give back to travel advisors over the last year and a half — the team is not just interested in agents’ bookings but also their welfare and the success of the business.

The short and informative session is guaranteed to provide participants with practical social media skills and actionable strategies that they can implement to drive new businesses in robust way.

And for those who don’t know, Pinch Social is an award winning social media agency (founders of Social Media Week Toronto) and their team typically charges pricy fees for custom workshops of this nature, so this is a fantastic chance for agents to get some free education on how to leverage the power of social media.

The exclusive Social Media Marketing Workshop will take place during Irie Hour on Tues., Aug. 24 at 2:30 p.m. ET.

Agents can register for the event at https://www.visitjamaica.com/canada/irie-hour/

And on the theme of continuing education, the JTB also has a series of on-demand One Love Webinars that can be accessed at any time (in English and French) for travel advisors who want to brush up on their destination knowledge.
