Gosling Joins Discover The World As Director Canada

Justin Gosling has joined Discover the World as Director Canada. He will be taking over the position previously held by Jane Clementino, as the newly appointed Director of Discover the World.

Gosling brings over 30 years of experience as an accomplished commercial leader in the travel and leisure industry.

Prior to his recent appointment at Discover the World, Gosling was the Canadian Director for SkyBird Travel & Tours, Canada Country Manager for Alitalia, Regional Manager for Etihad Airways in Canada, Great Britain, Scotland and the Seychelles Islands and USA Director of Leisure Sales for Lufthansa.

He has worked with key stakeholders to secure long-term business contracts and supplier incentives, collaborate with various tourism organizations, and think tanks, leveraged board positions in trade and business associations to promote commercial and political support for increased traffic rights, successfully headed up a team of managers and sales agents to develop marketing strategies that capitalized on business opportunities, implemented preferred-supplier programs and increased revenue.

Discover the World CEO, Ian Murray said “This is an exciting time of change and expansion for Discover as the industry bounces back from the pandemic. Justin is a great addition to the team. Along with his understanding of the global market, he brings a creative vision, longstanding relationships and passion that is in line with the goals that Discover has for its future.”

As for Gosling, he said: “Discover the World is a powerhouse in the travel industry and is renowned for providing highly professional representation and support to its business partners. I am delighted with the unique opportunity to lead the Canadian team to further build on the impressive successes of my predecessors.”

Murray added: “On behalf of Discover the World we would also like to thank Jane Clementino for her positive and progressive contributions to the business, locally and globally especially during an extremely challenging period in the travel industry.”
