Goway appointment

Goway Travel has appointed Karl Kannstadter general manager, Latin America.

Most recently Kannstadter held the position of director of Latin America at Kensington Tours, and brings industry experience and destination knowledge to Goway.

“We are delighted to have Karl join the Goway family,” said general manager of wholesale, Anita Emilio. “His depth of experience will be invaluable to Goway and to our agency partners. His strong business acumen will enable us to grow our product, offer excellent pricing for the entire destination and provide more opportunities for agents to partner with us in promotions.”

In his new role, Kannstadter is responsible for the sales, marketing and product of the Latin America Division. He began his travel career after returning from a year in Brazil as part of a student exchange program, where he learned Portuguese. Since then, he has explored and guided tours on all seven continents, managed a dive lodge in Fiji, and operated his own travel business. He has worked in the travel industry for more than 25 years, including having experience with airlines, student groups, developing and guiding private tours and group tours.
