Goway Donates $5,070 to Project Rhino

Last Wednesday (July 18) marked 100 years since the birth of South African activist, leader and icon, Nelson Mandela.

Renowned for so many great accomplishments, Mandela was also a dedicated conservationist. In his words, “If we do not do something to prevent it, Africa’s animals, and the places in which they live, will be lost to our world, and her children forever.”

In his honour, Goway has donated $5,070 to “Project Rhino.” This is a rhino-focused association employing a wide range of rhino conservation and anti-poaching strategies. These include, but are not limited to security, community engagement, education and awareness, legislation and judiciary, lobbying and strategic relationships, and fundraising and publicity.

Bruce Hodge, founder and president of Goway, is committed to the preservation of the world’s unique environment and wildlife, a value that he has instilled in the company at all levels. Each year, Goway donates $20 for every brochure lodge sold. This year Project Rhino will be the recipient.

Featured lodges include Singita, Mala Mala, Sabi Sabi Lodges, Savanna, Dulini, Lion Sands Lodges, Arathusa, Madikwe Hills, Hamiltons, Hoyo Hoya, Kapama Lodges, Karongwe Lodges, Thornybush Collection, Jock Safari Lodge, Ivory Tree, Black Rhino, Impodimo, Tswalu and Grootbos.
