A Grand New Velas

Mexico’s Velas Resorts is getting set to add to its portfolio of luxury all-inclusive resorts in Mexico.

PressToday’s Greg Coates is in Mexico and reports that Velas will expand into Los Cabos.

Reports indicate that the land has been purchased and Velas will build a new Grand property — Grand Velas Los Cabos — expected to open in 2017.

In other news, there are hints that Velas may go beyond the borders of Mexico with its next project — with Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, rumoured to be in the company’s future expansion plans.
