Holland America Line (HAL) is redeploying the Oosterdam from Europe to Alaska for the 2017 summer season, bringing its number of ships to seven in the region.

Oosterdam will join Amsterdam, Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam, Volendam and Zaandam in Alaska, offering a total of 135 departures.

Holland America will celebrate its 70th year exploring Alaska in 2017. New, Eurodam will replace Westerdam sailing from Seattle.
The cruise line will now offer 126 seven-day cruises and nine 14-day “Great Alaskan Explorer” sailings that begin in late April and run through late September. Highlights include 46 seven-day cruises roundtrip from Vancouver on Nieuw Amsterdam, Volendam, Noordam and Zaandam. In addition, Noordam and Zaandam each will sail 18 one-way alternating north-south seven-day cruises between Vancouver and Seward, Alaska.

Oosterdam’s seven-day roundtrip Seattle itineraries will call at Juneau, Sitka and Ketchikan, Alaska; and Victoria, BC.

Every itinerary is highlighted by scenic cruising of Alaska’s Inside Passage and one or more of Alaska’s famous glaciers and fjords.
As well, HAL’s Land+Sea Journeys combine a three-, four- or seven-day Inside Passage or Glacier Discovery cruise with in-depth overland tours to the Yukon and Alaska’s interior, featuring such sites as Denali National Park and Dawson City.
