HAL Debuts ‘Asia’ Specialist Training Course

Adding to its collection of global sales tools, Holland America Line (HAL) debuted a new Holland America Line Academy Specialist Course that supports travel agents in selling the premium brand’s Asia cruises.

Called “Asia: Ancient, Modern and Miraculous,” the online course helps agents increase their cruise sales by giving insider tips and tools around those itineraries.

The course takes 15 to 20 minutes to complete and includes information about the advantages of a Holland America cruise in the region. Travel advisors learn how to identify and sell to the best prospects for a HAL Asia cruise, describe the itineraries and ports visited, and understand what makes Holland America unique among premium cruise lines in Asia.

“Asia is one of the world’s fastest-growing and lucrative cruising destinations, and we created this course to ensure that travel advisors understand our itineraries and can take advantage of the rewarding opportunities that Asia provides,” said Eva Jenner, vice-president of sales for Holland America. “All of our courses are designed to help travel advisors sell our cruises with confidence, and the new Asia course is extremely beneficial in broadening travel advisors knowledge and sales skills to this amazing cruise destination.”

By completing HAL’s online courses, agents earn training credits with Cruise Lines International Association, as well as the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies.
