HANALEI RESORT HAS NEW NORTH SHORE SHUTTLE SERVICE

Hanalei Colony Resort, a secluded beachfront hideaway on Kauai’s north shore, has introduced a complimentary guest shuttle service that is available to transport resort guests to and from various north shore destinations. The 48-room property is situated on a long curve of golden beach near the end of the road in Haena, Kauai’s remote northernmost town. Seeking ways in which the resort might help alleviate traffic congestion on Kauai’s two-lane north shore roads and provide a convenience to guests, Hanalei Colony conducted an online survey in March asking past guests for input regarding a possible shuttle service. “The response was completely unexpected,”said GM Laura Richards. “We received nearly a thousand completed surveys within the first six hours, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Our guests told us they would appreciate a shuttle service, and we listened.”The resort’s new 13-passenger shuttle now operates daily from morning until sunset on a pre-set schedule, transporting guests to/from nearby beaches and Hanalei Town on a complimentary basis. In the evening, the guest shuttle is available to/from Hanalei Town, Princeville Shopping Center, and the Westin and St. Regis resorts in the Princeville Resort community, offering multiple options for evening entertainment and dining. There is a charge of $10 per adult (age 14 and older) for the evening shuttle. (http://www.hcr.com)
