Here Comes The Sun

Transat is offering more sun vacations to Canadians all across the country, with expanded programs out of Ontario, Atlantic Canada and Western Canada during the 2015-2016 winter season.

Across the country, Transat’s flight program features 36 sun destinations, including its most recent addition of Curacao from Toronto.

That service will operate on Sundays from Dec. 2015 to April 2016, featuring resorts that include the Sunscape Curacao Resort Spa & Casino, the Renaissance Curacao Resort & Casino, the Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort and the Hilton Curacao.

Other new routes from Toronto include:

  • Havana, Cuba on Mondays from Dec. 2015 to April 2016.
  • Rio Hato, Panama on Mondays from Nov. 2015 to April 2016 and on Thursdays from Dec. 2015 to March 2016.
  • La Romana in the Dominican Republic on Fridays from Dec. 2015 to April 2016.

Other destinations that Transat features from Toronto include Central America, Saint Lucia, St. Martin/St. Maarten, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico and Florida.

And with the addition of new connecting flights from Toronto to Montreal effective Nov. 2015, travellers will also be able to fly from Toronto to Paris as well as Malaga, Spain effective Jan. 2016.

Transat will also increase service to Punta Cana this winter with the introduction of a new weekly flight from Windsor, a new Canadian gateway for the tour operator, on Mondays from Dec. 2015 to April 2016.

Out of Atlantic Canada, Transat will offer new routes between Halifax and Cayo Coco, Cuba on Sundays from Feb. to May 2016 and between St. John’s and Orlando, Florida on Wednesdays from March to May 2016.

It has also added a new gateway, Fredericton, which will feature service to Cancun, Mexico on Tuesdays from March to May 2016.

As well, Transat’s offer from Halifax includes destinations in Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico and Florida while its offer from St. John’s includes the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Florida. From Moncton, Transat offers Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Florida.

From Western Canada, Transat’s new routes include:

  • Vancouver to Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba on Mondays from Dec. 2015 to April 2016.
  • Calgary to Cayo Santa Maria on Thursdays from Dec. to April, to Cozumel, Mexico on Thursdays from Dec. to April and to Los Cabos, Mexico on Saturdays from Nov. 2015 to April 2016.
  • Edmonton to Cayo Santa Maria on Thursdays from Dec. to April and Cozumel on Thursdays from Dec. to April.
  • Saskatoon to Cayo Santa Maria on Mondays from Dec. 2015 to February 2016.
  • Regina to Huatulco, Mexico on Fridays from Dec. to Feb.
  • Winnipeg to Cayo Santa Maria on Thursdays from Dec. to April and to Varadero, Cuba on Mondays from Dec. to April.

Air Transat will also be offering a new Calgary-Vancouver route this winter effective Dec. 2015 allowing passengers to leave from Calgary and board a flight to London, England on Mondays.
