HILLARY CLINTON TO SPEAK AT ASTA CONFERENCE

ASTA has announced that Hillary Rodham Clinton, former Secretary of State and former U.S. Senator from New York, will be its keynote speaker on Sept. 19 during its annual conference. The ASTA Global Convention will run Sept. 16-19 in Miami. “A big part of ASTA’s mission is to promote and facilitate the business of travel in a vibrant global marketplace. We are very grateful to Nicki [Grossman] and the Greater Ft. Lauderdale CVB for their support as our convention’s prime sponsor,” said ASTA president Zane Kerby. “The travel professional has an expertise that is critically important to delivering exceptional experiences for the world’s travellers. Secretary Clinton travelled more frequently and visited more countries than any of her predecessors. During her four years as the country’s top diplomat, Secretary Clinton travelled nearly one million miles and visited a record 112 countries.” (http://www.asta.org)
