Hilton Opens New Dual-Branded Ottawa Property

Hilton has opened its newest hotel, the dual-branded Hilton Garden Inn Ottawa Downtown and Homewood Suites by Hilton Ottawa Downtown, bringing a unique new addition to the downtown area.

The dual-brand hotel adds even more versatile options for guests visiting Ottawa, which welcomed over 11 million visitors last year – an 8.8% increase over the previous year.

“Ottawa’s diverse culture and rising tourism makes it the perfect location to expand our brand footprint in the Canadian market,” said Bill Duncan, global head, All Suites and Focused Service category, Hilton. “With spacious accommodations, value-added incentives and unique amenities, the dual-brand experience offers both focused-service and extended-stay lodging options, providing guests the flexibility to choose what’s best for their travel needs without compromising on cost.”

The property is located at 361 Queen St. and boasts 346 rooms, with 175 Hilton Garden Inn rooms and 171 Homewood Suites.

The hotel offers guests convenient access to Parliament Hill, the Byward Market, Rideau Canal, National Arts Centre and Shaw Centre. The dual-brand concept creates larger, enhanced communal areas and amenities compared to a standard, single-brand property, benefiting both business and leisure travellers. The hotel has a mix of unique offerings – each catering to the needs of their respective guests. The property also has a variety of shared amenities including a 24-hour fitness centre, an indoor saltwater pool, a business hub and Tulip Restaurant and Bar, serving three meals a day of locally sourced, creative cuisine. Additionally, the hotel offers flexible meeting and event space that can accommodate up to 280 people.
