All The Hits All The Time

Transat Distribution Canada (TDC) is really rocking these days as it welcomed 65 of its preferred partners to its National Leadership Conference at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico. Theme for the event was “TDC’s Greatest Hits” and it highlighted the successes and new opportunities for the network.

On the final evening, there was a special Partner Appreciation Event, hosted by the new Hard Rock Hotel in the Riviera Maya, with the TDC Music Awards featuring preferred partners dressed as “Rock Stars” while the TDC agency owners, managers and head office staff dressed as their “Adoring Fans.”

Team Travel Corporation came dressed as the Village People, while Transat Tours Canada appeared as the Spice Girls, Manulife Financial’s crew came as Run DMC and the group from WestJet were the judges from The Voice.

Joseph Adamo, TDC’s general manager, observed: “Every preferred partner is a winner in our books. We wanted to take a night to thank them for their support and celebrate our mutual success. It has been a great year of partner growth and our members appreciate everything they do for them.”

During the week-long event, TDC’s preferred partners had lots of opportunity to interact with TDC members — a trade show format on day one allowed the owners and managers to set up one on one appointments with the partners throughout the rest of the week, where they discuss business building opportunities for the coming year.

Susan Bowman, vice-president of marketing for TDC, noted that: “This is the second time we have run this format for our conference – last time we had 100% satisfaction from our members and preferred partners so we were conscious of creating the same opportunities this time around. The only enhancement based on feedback – more one-on-one meeting time. This week is proof positive that TDC supports not only their family of brands but over 60 other preferred partners. The goal is to focus efforts on a key group of partners to drive significant sales while covering good depth and breadth of product for customers.”
