Hitting the Slopes in Aspen

Aspen trio - GC

A new high-speed quad lift, remodeled Cloud Nine dining experience and more than 50 miles of single-track cross-country and downhill terrain await those visiting Colorado’s Aspen Snowmass this winter season.

Several Aspen delegates were in Montreal and Toronto this week to update the trade on all that’s happening at the popular ski destination.

Aspen Snowmass is a mountain resort comprised of four different mountains – each within a short drive of each other – in the Roaring Fork Valley of central Colorado. Anchored by two towns, Aspen and Snowmass Village, the resort is described as the perfect place “to revive and restore your mind, body and spirit.”

One challenge facing the destination this year is the weak Canadian dollar, but Aspen’s Candace Sherman noted that the resort offers numerous specials to help offset the exchange rate.

These include Kids Ski Free programs, Early Escape savings (buy a minimum of two days, get 40% off adult lift tickets, equipment rentals, lodging and Group Ski & Snowboard School products, valid Nov. 26 to Dec. 18), and Perfect Storm, buy four, get five – must be booked by Dec. 22 for January arrivals, Jan. 19 for February arrivals and Feb. 23 for March arrivals. Spring ski savings of 40% off are also available when booking a minimum of two days, valid April 3-17, 2016.
