Hotel Le Crystal Beds Fit For A King

Eric Hamel wants to make it Crystal-clear that those who overnight in his hotel won’t find their beds cramped.

Hamel, general manager of downtown Montreal’s Hotel Le Crystal, noted during a Tuesday Toronto gathering that hotel management decided on uniform sleeping arrangements throughout the upscale hotel.

“We only have king-sized beds,” he said of the recently renovated property that has seen its rooms redone and gained a restaurant.

“Much has changed,” he said of the renovations to a hotel that’s only 11 years old. Management decided to renovate despite the hotel’s relatively young age, choosing not to wait until it was in noticeable need of an upgrade.

Hotel sales and marketing director Valerie Marchand in turn noted guests will find the likes of kitchenettes, adding the property has a “homey feel… We are a five-star hotel, but we want to be a five-star hotel in a casual way,” she said adding guests may wear “flip-flops in the lobby.”

The hotel likes to promote its location, found in Montreal’s business and shopping core. The hotel is also just a stone’s throw from the Bell Centre, which among other things serves as the home of the city’s Montreal Canadiens.

Hamel noted large guest room windows ensure that visitors will have good views of the city.

The hotel also has meeting space.

Those wanting a particularly comfortable stay can opt for Hotel Le Crystal’s Crystal Suite, billed as its signature suite.

Hotel décor in many ways reflects the name of a hotel that has the likes of crystal chandeliers.
