Humber Students Discover Ethiopian’s Dreamliner

The students in the Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism program from Humber College recently experienced a special tour of the new Ethiopian Airlines 787 Dreamliner at Toronto Pearson.

Welcomed by Ethiopian Airlines Canada team, which included Wasihun Asres from Ethiopian Airlines VP of Human Resources, David Timmins Senior Sales Manager Ethiopian Airlines Canada and Ethiopian Airlines Canada Fasil Kasa Customer Service Agent.

Over 70 students arrived at Pearson to get onboard the 787 Dreamliner and meet with Ethiopian Airlines staff and crew prior to the airlines departure that day.

The special invite was all part of engaging with the students to gain first hand experience of the airline and the services Ethiopian Airlines Canada offers.

The countdown is on as students compete with each other on developing a unique experiential and digital marketing campaign for Ethiopian Airlines Canada.

This will all come down to some fierce competition amongst the students as the top three finalists selected will then present in front of a panel of judges made up of executives from the airlines and marketing professionals on December 12.

“This is more than just an assignment, it’s an opportunity of a lifetime that could gain these students international recognition,” said Ron Caughlin Humber professor and VP of Strategic Planning at RadonicRodgers Strategy.
