HX expands sales team with four appointments

HX Hurtigruten Expeditions has expanded its sales team with four new appointments.
“These appointments bring a wealth of experience and a shared commitment to empowering our valued advisors with the support they need to thrive in the growing expedition cruise industry and promote HX,” shared Sheralyn Berry, general manager for the Americas, Hurtigruten Group via LinkedIn. 

About the team

Carla Brake joins the team as senior sales director, and brings more than two decades of industry experience. Her previous role was at Globus family of brands and Avalon Waterways as a senior director of business development. Brake also worked at Insight Vacations as the vice-president of sales.

Jennifer Kennedy has been appointed as business development manager, Southeast U.S. She brings more than 15 years of experience to the company. Previously, Kennedy worked as a strategic account manager at The Travel Corporation. She also held roles at Insight Vacations and Contiki Holidays.

Kent Phillips, HX’s new business development manager for Western Canada, has travelled to more than 65 countries and has more than seven years of experience as a senior BDM at Exodus Adventure Travels, specializing in adventure travel and polar expeditions.

Finally, Ian Kivell has joined the team as a business development manager for Eastern Canada. Kivell previously served as a travel manager at Flight Centre and a sales and business development manager at Contiki Holidays. He is also a professor of tourism at Mohawk College.
