Air Transat has launched a new personalized inflight entertainment app on its Boeing 737 narrow-body jets, giving passengers access to a selection of movies and TV series, as well as music playlists on their iOS mobile devices.

“We care deeply about enabling our passengers to start their vacations as soon as they board their flights, and even slightly before. Our new CinePlus B app now makes that possible,” said Jean-François Lemay, general manager, Air Transat.

Passengers can download the innovative CinePlus B app from the App Store and then, a few days before departure, are free to make and download entertainment selections for their flights.

Personalized inflight entertainment options on Air Transat vary depending on the aircraft and are available to passengers travelling to Europe or Sun destinations:

  • Airbus A330 aircraft as well as Club Class cabins on Airbus A310s are equipped with individual touch screens offering an array of entertainment options for all audiences: classic movies and new releases, popular TV series, plus eight music channels featuring a variety of genres.
  • Passengers on Airbus A310 aircraft can enjoy Air Transat’s inflight entertainment to the fullest by downloading the CinePlus A mobile app before boarding. The app allows them to access a selection of movies, TV shows and music using their own tablets, smartphones (iOS and Android) or laptop computers.
  • In addition to personalized entertainment on their mobile devices via the CinePlus A app on Airbus A310s and CinePlus B on Boeing 737s, passengers can view a selection of recent movies and TV series on shared screens on board all Airbus A310 and Boeing 737 aircraft.

The procedure for accessing the on-demand inflight entertainment system is available on the Air Transat
