Insight Vacations’ enhanced 2019 USA & Canada Premium Escorted Journeys collection features 15 journeys crafted to encourage clients to explore North America’s most majestic landscapes, scenic destinations, and culturally diverse places.

Offering over 35 Insight Experiences – from joining a lobster fisherman aboard his boat in Shediac Bay to Sonoma wine tasting while visiting the Madrone Family vineyards to meeting the Alaskan champion dog team of high-speed huskies – guests will be staying at accommodations inside several national parks, including the Grand Canyon Lodges and Zion National Park Lodge.

They will also enjoy authentic dining experiences, including farm-to-table cuisine, a dine-around selection of restaurants and a dine-at-home experience with EatWith which specializes in connecting guests with local foodies for meals in their homes. Choices include America’s Magnificent National Parks, a 15-day adventure through breathtaking scenery as clients make their way across the most popular national parks, historic landmarks and scenic grandeur in the U.S.

They will join a local expert at the Grand Canyon and enjoy their stay at the Grand Canyon National Parks Lodges, which provide the premier in-park lodging at the South Rim.

Guests will join a Navajo guide in an open-air vehicle to explore the vistas of Navajo Tribal Park in Monument Valley. In Yellowstone National Park, they will view the Upper Geyser Basin renowned for the highest concentration of geysers, hot springs and fumaroles in the world.

They will also enjoy horseback riding in the stunning surroundings of Ucross. Clients can relax during their stay at the beautiful Zion Lodge, located in the middle of a hiker’s paradise. Onwards to Grand Teton National Park, where they will enjoy their accommodations at Jackson Lake Lodge.

Jewels of Alaska features spectacular landscapes, majestic national parks, calving glaciers and wildlife on this seven- (land only) or 14- (land and cruise) day journey.

Clients will visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center to learn about local traditions before journeying along the Alaskan Railway’s dome car for a spectacular ride over rushing waters to Denali National Park. The Grande Denali Lodge on Sugar Loaf Mountain is designed for guests to truly relax.

In Big Lake, they will have a chance to meet the dogs of a championship dog musher and have a lesson in dogsledding.

Once guests return to Anchorage, they can choose to continue their journey on the Glacier Discovery Cruise that will take them past the massive glaciers of Glacier Bay National Park, and ever-changing panorama of stunning peaks and rivers of ice to the gold rush era saloons of Juneau, and the world’s largest collection of standing totem poles in Ketchikan.

Landscapes of the Canadian Maritimes is a 12-day seaside escape that highlights ocean vistas and the colourful harbours of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Starting in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg, they will be met by a local expert for an exploration of this port city through the area.

Guests travel to Halifax for a trip through time and history with a visit to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. They are treated to a highlight dinner of seafood from The Restaurant at Five Fishermen, a Canadian institution.

In Shediac Bay, they will enjoy a fisherman’s lobster feast and farm-to-table highlight lunch, as they cruise the waters of the bay, taking in Acadian hospitality.

Once in Prince Edward Island, clients will be led by a local expert through its national park as well as the fabled Green Gables House that provided inspiration for the children’s classic Anne of Green Gables. The journey culminates with a whale-watching cruise on the Bay of Fundy.
