Intrepid expands 2026 Active Portfolio with 28 new trips

As the demand for active trips grows, Intrepid Travel has announced that will be adding 28 new active trips to its offerings in 2026.
The move, by the certified B Corp, is designed to help travel advisors meet the surging demand for health, nature, and adventure-driven travel.
Intrepid’s new collection spans six continents and includes hiking, cycling, kayaking, snorkeling, and rafting.
Advisors can now offer clients everything from:
- 4-day Premium Walking & Trekking in Peru with a guided tour in Machu Picchu
- 9-day Central America: Hike, Bike & Kayak trip with a sunrise volcano hike in Guatemala
- 7-day Croatia and Montenegro: Hike, Bike & Raft itinerary through Europe’s deepest canyon
And with its new additions for 2026, Intrepid’s active range now totals 148 trips across five multi-active, 21 walking and trekking, and two cycling itineraries, giving advisors more flexibility to match travellers with the right intensity and style.
Erica Kritikides, General Manager of Experiences at Intrepid Travel, explained that: “Intrepid’s style of travel has always resonated with people seeking active adventure, which makes this broader societal shift towards health and wellbeing especially exciting.”
Kritikides continued: “For many travellers, the best way to unwind is by moving, and that’s exactly what our active adventures are all about. These trips let travellers move, explore and reconnect with nature, while sharing the experiences with a community of like-minded travellers.”

And she added: “This style of travel takes you beyond the beaten path to hard-to-reach places, offering unique and immersive experiences that take you to the very heart of a destination.”
As for opportunities for travel advisors, Intrepid points to strong sales momentum with active adventures being the tour company’s fastest-growing category, up 9% year-over-year, with multi-active trips surging 23%.
In terms of market alignment, Intrepid points out that global cycling tourism is projected to nearly double in the next decade, and hiking tours are growing around 6% annually, reflecting a broader shift toward wellness and outdoor connection.
And they are easy to sell as each trip includes a physical rating from one to five to help advisors qualify clients based on fitness level and travel style.
The operator also points out the every itinerary is locally led and fully commissionable for advisors through Intrepid’s agent portal.
