Intrepid Introduces Antarctica Savings

Intrepid Travel is offering discounts of up to 50% on select 2019/2020 Antarctica departures, on bookings made by 6 p.m. PT on Oct. 22.

Because Antarctica is usually a once-in-a-lifetime, big ticket trip, a discount this deep makes the remote continent much more accessible for travellers.

“Those who are in search of a sustainable way to explore the ‘Great White Continent’ can feel comfortable booking a trip with the B-Corp-certified, carbon neutral company,” Intrepid says.

Intrepid Travel offsets every trip it offers on behalf of every traveller, and the company has also made a goal of becoming “climate positive” by 2020 – meaning it will be investing in and supporting projects that sequester more carbon out of the atmosphere than it emits. The company is also joining forces with the Antarctic Science Foundation to support climate change research projects that aim to advance the protection of the Antarctic, Southern Ocean and sub-Antarctic environment.

Sample itineraries for the 2019/2020 season include the Antarctic Explorer: From Buenos Aires (11 days) – now starting from $8,488 per person; and the South Georgia and Antarctic Peninsula from Ushuaia (16 days) – now from $10,978 per person.
