It’s All In The Family For Antigua & Barbuda And Ensemble

Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority welcomed a select group of travel trade types at Ensemble’s downtown Toronto this week for some tasty Antigua & Barbuda treats, some island music and a message that Antigua & Barbuda is the kind of destination that Canadians have been looking for, if they haven’t discovered it already.

As Colin James, CEO of the Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority, explained it, what’s unique about Antigua & Barbuda are its people and the kind of genuine, welcoming hospitality that they offer visitors.

In fact, that hospitality was on show during the evening reception that offered those attending information on the islands along with some insights into the ‘new’ Ensemble’s approach to providing its members with a broader – not to mention more remunerative – range of product to sell to their clients.

Ensemble’s Senior Vice President of Partner Relations, Jennifer Dzialo explained that it’s important to educate Ensemble’s advisors about destinations and that was what the evening was all about – finding out more about what Antigua & Barbuda have to offer to Ensemble’s advisors and their clients.

Along with its beaches, accommodations, culinary scene, activities – both on and off the water – James is quick to point out that Antigua & Barbuda are ‘aspirational’ destinations and for the clients of many of Ensemble’s advisors that will clearly be appealing.

As for advisors, James said that coming out of the pandemic, hotels on the islands have seen their average daily rates (ADR) rising and that means more commission for advisors.

And Antigua & Barbuda are easily accessible from Canada with daily service offered by a combination of flights from Air Canada, WestJet and Sunwing.

James told Press Today that Canadians will feel right at home when they visit Antigua & Barbuda … and clearly, working with Ensemble is bound to result in more Canadians arriving on the island this winter.
