Jaber, Global Events Found Not Guilty

The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) reports that following a trial, Maher Jaber and Global Events Management Group Inc. (Global Events) have been acquitted of charges of operating as a travel retailer without registration.

Jaber and Global Events were charged in relation to the offer and sale of a Masters’ Golf Tournament package to a corporate client. Global Events operated in Toronto and elsewhere in Ontario.

TICO is appealing the decision in the Ontario Court of Justice.
