Las Vegas counts down to T3 opening

Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport will soon commence operations at its new state-of-the-art Terminal 3. The new facility is set to open on June 27, one day before the aging T2 shuts down for good. T3 features an enhanced Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) checkpoint, self-tagging ticketing and baggage kiosks, and seven domestic and seven international aircraft gates. It will also offer seven new restaurants and retail outlets, including a duty-free shop and express spa, plus free Wi-Fi throughout. And yes, it will have slot machines – 300 of them are being installed. A T3 online guidebook/media kit has been released, with info on this largest capital improvement project in the airport’s nearly 64-year history. The printable 46-page guide includes general facts on McCarran, maps/driving directions, details on T3’s shopping and dining outlets and more. (http://www.mccarran.com)
