More Latin America From Contiki

contiki-latin-america

Contiki is expanding its Latin program for 2015-2016 to include 21 itineraries and introduce Belize, Guatemala and Colombia as new destinations for 2015.

In all, 7 new trips will be offered by Contiki that feature Guatemala, Belize and Colombia, including the 14-day Central Trail, the 25-day Mexico, Guatemala and Belize and the 11-day Hola Colombia itineraries.

As one of the fastest-growing travel destinations, Colombia offers up a mix of culture, adventure and epic landscapes. Contiki’s exclusive Hola Colombia trip brings travellers right into the heart of the country, as they explore Bogota, Armenia, Medellin, Santa Marta and Cartagena and immerse themselves in the local culture. The journey offers up a taste of everything, as travellers explore the culinary side of Colombia with a cooking class, get their heart pumping on a zipline adventure and enjoy the simple life with a traditional horse and carriage ride along the cobble-stoned streets of historic Cartagena.

Contiki Canada president, Brad Ford observes: “Contiki has seen amazing success since our launch into Latin America in 2011 and we continue to experience incredible demand which has required us to increase departures into Costa Rica by 40% and Mexico by 70% alone this coming year.”

Ford continues: “As we venture into these three exciting new destinations and continue to expand our existing product, it’s important to us that our travellers are able to make every moment count on our trips. We know our audience is looking for a travel experience curated for the young traveller with a focus on spending more time in the destinations we visit and less time getting from A to B.”

Contiki’s exclusive Backstage Pass to all things Latin America includes:

  • Internal flights and private transport to cut down on travel time.
  • Hotel accommodations — no tents ever, except for a comfortable eco-camp overnight with ensuites, double beds and WiFi.
  • Local meals — authentic BBQ, tortilla-making classes.
  • Regional expert Tour Managers and local guides.
