Lufthansa’s DeHaan takes over in Canada

Hans DeHaan has been appointed director, Lufthansa Group Canada, responsible for sales and marketing activities in the region. He is based in Toronto and brings with him 15 years of experience within the Lufthansa Group, most recently at the company’s New York headquarters as director, Leisure and Online Sales for North America. “As a recognized leader in international travel, our focus is on building our relationships with Canadian travellers as they explore their interests around the globe. Lufthansa offers Canadians connections to more than 200 destinations in 84 European, Middle Eastern, African and Asian countries, and I look forward to promoting and selling this vast network in my new position,”said DeHaan. Lufthansa’s presence in the Canadian market is increasing as the airline integrates sales and marketing for full group services, including flights on Lufthansa, Austrian and SWISS. Austrian Airlines recently launched its new hub in Vienna and Lufthansa is scheduled to open its new Frankfurt concourse later this year. Both provide Lufthansa’s Canadian travellers with even better connectivity to destinations around the world. For Hans DeHaan, who started in his new position in Canada on Aug. 1, this is his second tour of duty in this country. He first joined Lufthansa in 1997 as district manager in Calgary.
