The popular Christmas/New Year’s travel period in Hawaii is once again being led by Maui which is already seeing booking activity for the holidays, according to Condominium Connection, a Hawaii wholesaler for five decades.

In particular, the travel company says families are currently “grabbing up comfortable, convenient condominium accommodations throughout the islands and suggests travel agents encourage their clients to make their reservations early.”

According to officials, space is now being reserved at all price levels for Maui’s two-bedroom units with full kitchens, which are getting the most traveller attention.

The following are some examples of nightly rates for two bedrooms for travel Dec. 21 through Jan. 3, 2015: Aston Maui Banyan at $379 for standard unit for up to six guests; Maui Kamaole at $360 for garden view accommodations for up to four guests; garden view at Aston Maui Hill at $379 for up to six guests; Aston Kaanapali Shores garden view unit for $659 for up to six occupants; and Honua Kai Resort in resort view accommodations at $823 for up to four guests.

Joseph Fienberg, owner of Condominium Connection, stresses, “Travel agents need to advise their Hawaii-bound clients to reserve their space early for the holidays to ensure the lowest possible prices and greatest availability.  Especially on Maui and based on current booking trends, vacationers should not delay their booking decisions.”
